Caravan Program Awards the Highest Honor
On Sunday, June 1, the Caravan program awarded the highest honor to A. J. (Alexis) Harp. Sandra Kinsey presented the Phineas F. Bresee Award to A. J. in the morning service in recognition of her achievement in the Caravan program.
The award is the highest that can be earned in the program and represents years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. A. J. has earned at least 16 required badges and 16 elective badges.
Caravan is a Christian scouting program which disciples children – socially, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Earning badges entails learning about the heroes of the faith, learning what the Church of the Nazarene believes, giving of time in the church and community.
The local church provides this discipleship ministry to our children on Wednesday nights during the school year. Several children have achieved this honor through the years of this ministry through this ministry of the local church.
